38 First-Year Seminarians for the SSPX in the Northern Hemisphere

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, the seminaries of the Society of St. Pius X in the northern hemisphere welcomed a new class of young men aspiring to the priesthood. After six years of a life of prayer and study, they will one day be ordained priests for eternity, God willing.

The Saint-Curé-d’Ars Seminary in Flavigny (France) welcomed 19 new seminarians (15 French, 1 Gabonese, 1 Canadian, 1 Italian, and 1 Swiss), and four postulants in the novitiate.

The Sacred Heart Seminary in Zaitzkofen (Germany) received 7 new seminarians (2 Polish, 1 German, 1 Austrian, 1 Swiss, 1 Czech, and 1 Russian).

St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn (USA) welcomed 12 new seminarians (10 Americans, 1 Argentinian, 1 Canadian), and 42 pre-seminarians who will do a year of humanities before beginning the ecclesiastical studies properly speaking.

With the southern hemispherewhich began its year in March, 2017 counts 47 young men in their first year of spirituality in the seminaries of the Society of St. Pius X.

There were 57 in 2016, 53 in 2015, 51 in 2014, 43 in 2013, 50 in 2012, 57 in 2011, 48 in 2010, 40 in 2009, and 47 in 2008.
