Pilgrimage to Japanese Shrines

29 Apr - 8 May
Nagasaki and Akita

Our Lady of Akita and Catholic Martyrs of Japanese persecution (Nagasaki Sotome)

The District of Asia is announcing its 10th Annual Pilgrimage to Akita in Japan, led by Frs. Karl Stehlin and Thomas Onoda from April 29-May 8, 2016.

Next year's annual pilgrimage will include a visit to the Japanese city of Nagasaki which has a strong Catholic history.

The Nagasaki visit is being made in thanksgiving for all the graces received and to beg for more (especially for holy vocations) in preparation for the 100th anniversary of Fatima.

In addition to the visit to Our Lady of Akita, the pilgrimage will include these sites in Nagasaki:

Urakami Cathedral
Christian Museum
Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum
Martyrdom place of the 26 Martyrs
Museum of St. Maximillian Kolbe
O’ura Cathedral
Memory Park of Bl. Julian Nakaura, Martyr
Church of the Hidden Christians
Unzen Place of Martyrdom
Shimabara Castle
and much, much more!
