Update on the church construction of the St. Bernard Novitiate (Iloilo, Philippines)
Dear Friends and Benefactors,
The date for the consecration is set for the 13th of May 2017. Will we make it? Construction is going well.
In my estimation, if funds keep coming in we should be ready. Certainly not every corner will be completed as desired, but the basic structure and basic artwork should be finished. Below we send you some pictures: the tiles have arrived for the roof as well as the clay cladding bricks. I am sure that the next letter we send you, we will be able to show you a completed roof. In the meantime, the windows are being worked on, the entrance arches, and, on the very top the brothers are beginning the paint-work.
Please remember that the brothers of the Novitiate pray for you each day, for you and your intentions.
Lastly, do not forget the 13th of May 2017 … the day of the Consecration …. If we make it (?!). You are all invited.
